My Story
Hi there!
A little backstory...
I have always liked creating beauty with my hands, but never considered that I could make a business from my passion. That is, until after the birth of my baby, when I struggled to find a creative outlet that I could do in small gaps of time throughout my day. Mostly, I was searching for a purpose that would help to make the world a better place for my child. It was then that I realized that my love for sewing and crafting might be the key to unlock my dreams.
I have big dreams of one day expanding to help those who are suffering and in need all while being able to stay with my baby throughout his childhood.
To quote Emily Dickinson,
"If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain;
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain."
My goal with Reusable Remnants is to provide my surrounding communities with ethically made, reusable products that are good for the environment, their wallets, and everyday life. I believe that the little things in life are important, and every decision matters.
Reusable Remnants prioritizes these principles by the following: sourcing all fabric and as much thread, notions, and other supplies as possible from secondhand origins; keeping costs as low as possible to be able to offer accessible pricing; and creating products that romanticize the small moments that have a big impact.
Reusable Remnants is proof that quality items do not have to create waste, cost extreme prices, or cause harm. I hope to provide you with one-of-a-kind items that you can truly feel good about purchasing!
